The Best in Youth Work 2025

08/01/2026

On December 12, in Liepāja — Latvia's Youth Capital 2025, the ceremonial award event of the competition "The Best in Youth Work 2025" took place, honoring thirteen laureates across seven categories from all over Latvia. The event recognized municipalities, youth workers, youth centers, youth councils, and non-governmental organizations that invest their daily efforts in improving the quality of young people's lives.

This occasion was especially meaningful for the association "Ārpus burbuļa" (Outside the Bubble), as our organization was named the winner in the "Best Start" category among organizations. This recognition confirms that even a relatively newly established organization, when working purposefully and with strong conviction, can create meaningful change in the lives of young people.

We are particularly proud of Agnese Krauklīte, Chair of the Board of the association "Ārpus burbuļa," who was also honored in the "Spark of Inspiration" category. Agnese is a person without whom this association would be unimaginable — her ideas, courage, perseverance, and belief in young people form the foundation of what "Ārpus burbuļa" is today. We are truly proud of Agnese and deeply grateful for her contribution both to the development of the association and to strengthening youth work as a whole.

It was also a great pleasure to be together with the Jelgava Municipality, which was likewise honored within the framework of the competition. This shared moment once again highlighted how important cooperation between non-governmental organizations and municipalities is in creating a supportive and youth-friendly environment.

As tradition holds, the competition's laureates received a symbolic award — a superhero statuette representing courage, professionalism, and responsibility in youth work. For us, it is not only recognition of what has been achieved, but also motivation to continue what we have started, to grow, and to stand alongside young people in the future as well.

Thank you to everyone who is part of the "Ārpus burbuļa" journey.
This is only the beginning.
